started in the 2000s with Big Brother. Since

, there have been multiple types of reality

programmes. It is a fact that no matter the socio-economic status or the level of education, we all watch these shows. I always wonder why these programmes are so popular and why people are so interested in participating in these shows. There is no doubt that these shows are really popular and that they have big audiences. I have analysed available surveys that illustrate that the main reason for spectators to watch these types of shows is because they find them unpredictable.

In contrast

, the data suggests that there are negative opinions about the

formats which is contradictory with the number of followers they have. Becoming famous and a celebrity may be the main reason for some individuals who complete the applications to take part in some of the shows.

However

, not everyone signing up for the shows is looking to become famous. Some individuals are looking for an adventure in their lives. It must be mentioned that special requirements have to be met to be able to be considered to be part of some of the casts. All things considered, the way we watch

is changing. Reality shows are taking over the

weekly schedule.

Although

most of us have some concerns about the well-being of the participants in some of the programmes, most of the society supports the recording of these shows and we have probably considered the possibility of becoming a participant.
